Our carpentry courses will prepare you for specialised work, such as traditional hand cut roofs, and also provide you with an insight into site management.
In practical lessons, you will work through projects to develop your hands-on skills, with all tasks set by the awarding body. The theory sessions will provide you with the underpinning knowledge of the construction industry needed to apply your skills on site.
Areas covered include:
- Complex structural work
- Dormer windows
- Double doors
- Raked and curved mouldings
- Principles of organising
- Planning and pricing construction work

Requirements

Assessed using a range of practical and theory training assessments, online multiple choice exams and a practical synoptic assessment.
Progression
You can progress on to Site Carpentry Level 3.
