East Coast College is offering Higher Technical Qualifications in Digital and Construction from September 2023.
Higher Technical Qualifications are Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications (such as HNDs/Foundation Degrees/Diploma HE) that have been approved as meeting occupational standards for the relevant sector. These qualifications have been developed by awarding bodies in collaboration with employers and businesses so that students get the specific training, knowledge and skills required for their chosen career.
Higher technical education is a high-quality and prestigious choice, which learners could consider alongside other routes such as apprenticeships or degrees. They provide the skills and qualifications needed to progress into relevant sector employment or further higher-level study including a full degree programme or degree apprenticeship.
East Coast College is offering specialist routes in:
- Cyber Security and Cloud Networking Level 4
- Modern Methods of Construction for England Level 4
- Quantity Surveying for England Level 4
- Software Development and Programming Level 4
These courses will require a sufficient standard of maths and English to cope with the demands of the course. Applications will be taken through the Universities and Colleges Application System (UCAS) and you will also be invited to attend an informal interview to assess your suitability for the course.
East Coast College is offering 10 students the chance to receive the Rosemarie Kinder Bursary of £1,500 to study a Higher Technical Qualification at the college. The bursaries will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, and will be awarded to those who meet the entry requirements for the course and the bursary selection criteria.
