This is a practical course which enables students to transition from school to college. It is primarily aimed at students who enjoy the active side of learning in terms of sport and exercise. You will learn the effects of exercise on the body, risks and hazards in sport and active leisure, how to plan a healthy diet, improve your own fitness and how to assist at a sport or active leisure event.
After completing this course, you could progress onto Functional Skills maths and English, gateway qualifications and Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
