This course will provide a solid knowledge-base to foster and enhance enthusiasm for Forensic Science and to develop transferable scientific skills. Through the practical application of knowledge you will acquire the knowledge, skills and attributes required by employers in forensic laboratories and scientific support services. You will study a range of modules – some designed to develop your wider scientific and laboratory knowledge and skills – and some to develop the specific skills and attributes needed to work in forensic science.
The programme is for students wishing to build their skills, knowledge and understanding further to progress into the laboratory science sector. You will study a range of laboratory linked modules and will complete your studies by completing a sector relevant project. The areas of study will provide a strong subject base and practical competence for either seeking related employment, progression within your current employer or going on to further study at level 6 (such as the BSc (Hons) Practical Life Sciences programme).

Requirements
You will need to have achieved 80 UCAS tariff points (or above), CDD (A Level), MMP (BTEC).
In addition, students must have a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above (or equivalent), which must include maths, English language and science (unless the level 3 offer is in a direct science subject).
