The course boasts a diverse mixture of games design, art and development; you will develop skills using industry standard software and technology to conceive and create functioning games for multiple platforms.

An ideal student for this course is one who is hardworking and motivated with a keen interest in the world of Computer Game Development. Prospective students should consider themselves to be creative, have some skill at drawing and have an interest in gaming.

By the end of your first year you will have produced a variety of game ideas and playable games for mobile devices and PC. You’ll develop your talents in concept art, idea generation, 2D game engines (such as game maker and construct 2) and you’ll also be introduced to 3D game creation and the theory of games. 

In the second year you will work with increasing independence as you prepare for Higher Education and the world of work. You will study professional practice, portfolio preparation and finish your qualification with a final major project and a real exhibition. 

You will be expected to work independently on projects away from the College

Five GCSEs at A* to C or acceptable alternatives; these must include English Language. You will need to bring a portfolio of your work to your interview.
