Many of our students are now enjoying successful careers with UK and international airlines flying to various destinations around the world and others have used the qualification to gain work in other sectors of the travel industry such as retail travel agencies, business travel, visitor attractions and hospitality management.

The study programme will be designed around the local and global labour market, student needs and career aspirations.
It will include offsite visits and trips, wellbeing tutorials, personal tutorials, online learning and will include an overseas residential (subject to stringent health & safety checks and current Covid-19 policy at the time of planning/booking), guest speakers, industrial placement, festival volunteering and real-working environments.
Our students have undertaken a variety of industrial work placements including retail and business travel agents, hotels, holiday parks, airports, hospitality and tourist attractions.
We also welcome guest speakers from a large range of local and national employers who talk about careers within the industry.
You will need to have achieved at least five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including English. Progression to the extended diploma is only possible with the successful achievement of year one.
Full British or European passport will be required for oversea trips.

Upon completion of the course you can progress on to our HNC in International Travel and Tourism Management. Alternatively, successful completion of both courses can also lead to a career within the travel and tourism industry.
