T Levels are new courses that follow GCSEs and are equivalent to three A Levels. They’ve been co-created by the industry you want to be a part of, so you can gain the knowledge and skills you need to leap ahead of the crowd and into your desired career. T Levels are new to East Coast College and will be starting in September 2022.

This course is suitable for anyone interested in a career in maintenance, installation and repair for engineering and manufacturing. You will develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the sector, including working within the engineering and manufacturing sectors, essential maths for engineering and manufacturing, materials and their properties. You will also learn to understand material processing techniques and their effects on materials and material quality, materials testing methods and techniques, and commercial and financial awareness.

You will then choose a specialism designed to support your interests, so you can get deeper into your chosen job and build up the skills you need for your future role. You can choose from specialist modules in either Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electronic Control and Instrumentation, or Light and Electric Vehicles.

Then you will be able to put everything you learn into practice, with a substantial industry placement for a minimum of 315 hours. This will give you an amazing opportunity to work within the engineering and manufacturing sectors, and gain invaluable experience as well as key skills that employers are looking for.
