This professional qualification will cover the grooming, styling and finishing of dogs. It will cover first aid and promote health and wellbeing. It will also focus on the business side of the industry and include units that will prepare you to work in the industry or set up your own business.

You will study the following units:

  • Health and Safety in a Dog Grooming Environment
  • Promote the Welfare of Dogs Conforming with Relevant Legislations
  • Customer Care and Managing Complaints
  • Assess and Plan Dog Grooming Styles and Maintenance of Equipment
  • Health Checking, Handling and Canine Behaviour
  • Prepare, Style and Finish a Range of Dog Breeds
  • Canine Emergency First Aid
  • Planning the Operation of a Small Canine Business
