This course is designed for non-native speakers looking to improve their verbal and written communication in English or validate their skills.
In addition to the English courses, you will have the opportunity to improve your maths and ICT skills and achieve a recognised qualification valued by employers and other institutions.
You will also develop basic computer skills required for work, study or everyday life.
As part of the course, you will study three modules: Preparation for Employment, Living and Working in the UK and British Values, which will develop your understanding of key aspects of British society.
As part of the ESOL Access Programme, you will study Steps to the Future alongside your English lessons. This will focus on developing your employability skills, such as interviews and CV writing.

Assessment
An initial assessment for English, maths and ICT to make sure you study at the correct level. You will complete City & Guilds ESOL assessments in speaking & listening and reading & writing. You will also complete Functional Skills Maths and ICT.
Progression
After completing this course, you can progress on to other vocational or HE courses.
Your career prospects will also improve as you will have a better understanding of the English Language and Culture and will have developed essential skills for your daily life.
