Course: UAL Art & Design Diploma Level 2

Are you passionate about art and design and want to further your skills and understanding?

You could be a beginner or hobby artist who wants to explore new art techniques or want to connect with other artists and designers. This course is ideal if you want to move to the next stage in your career or personal artistic goals.

This course is designed to provide you with the opportunity to explore a broad range of topics including drawing, painting, printmaking, 2D and 3D materials, methods and processes. It will also help you begin to develop related technical skills, acquire knowledge into the work of others and build a portfolio of art and design work.

You will study eight units across a range of assignments which include:

• Art history
• Observational drawing
• Developing ideas
• Experimentation of materials, methods and processes
• Visual communication
• Critical writing and evaluation

You will learn through practical activities, tasks and projects. You will also have the opportunity to present and exhibit your work in an end of year exhibition.

This course takes place on a Friday from 9.30am-3.30pm.
