Students from East Coast College Public Services courses recently attended a 5 day RAF Regiment Look At Life Course.
The RAF Regiment Recruitment and Selection Flight (RRRSF) are a small team based at RAF Honington. They have supported Lowestoft College for a number of years now and help to promote the RAF and recognise that young people sometimes struggle to decide on a career path.
The RRRSF run these courses to provide young people with the opportunity to see what life is like in Armed Forces through a number of challenging activities and lessons. The learners were put through their paces and took part in various activities that ranged from briefs and the equipment that the RAF Regiment use, Military Fieldcraft, Physical Training, Team Building and Leadership Exercises/Activities.
Level One students from the department recently participated in a Public Services Incident training session, where they were under pressure to co-ordinate various teams and help casualties in the aftermath of a bomb explosion.
