Course: BA (Hons) Creative Arts Practice (Progression Route)
Study Level
Level 6
Location
Great Yarmouth Campus
The Place University Centre
Duration
One Year
FT / PT
Full-time
This course has been developed to provide an arts-based progression route to Honours level for those who have completed a Foundation degree (or equivalent). BA (Hons) Arts Practice was developed in response to demand for an arts alternative to the very successful BA (Hons) Professional Studies. It seeks to engender a creative mix of artists and art forms and encourages cross-fertilisation of ideas and projects.
This one year full-time course provides the opportunity for further exploration of an art form which would have been previously studied at Foundation degree level. Whether this is media-based, graphics, fashion, photography, fine art or another form, the structure of this programme blends practical, exhibition/project work with the in-depth study of contextual issues associated with Honours level work.
You can apply for this course on the University of Suffolk website to study at the East Coast College Great Yarmouth campus. Click ‘More Information’ to be taken to the full course and application page.
This course is due to move to The Place – our new university centre opening in Great Yarmouth town centre – in 2025!
Requirements
You will need a Foundation Degree (or equivalent), FdA or FdSc or 96 UCAS Tariff points, as well as GCSE English and maths at grade C/4 or above.
