There are many different aspects to the care industry whether you decide to work with children, teenagers, the elderly or vulnerable. If you are considering a career in the care sector you will need to have enthusiasm, dedication and a real desire to help and support others.
Our courses can also be used as a route in to nursing or counselling and, if you are thinking about working with children, we also offer courses which will provide you with a Licence to Practice.
Level 1 – This qualification gives you an introduction to Level 1 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s Settings It can help you decide which area you would like to work in. It will help you develop some basic skills and knowledge required for working in these sectors. You will also have classroom sessions to help build your general knowledge and maths and English skills.
Level 2 – This is a nationally recognised qualification which allows you to go into employment. You will learn the key skills you will need to work in a variety of care jobs.
Level 3 – This is a recognised qualification which gives you an opportunity to progress on to university courses or in to employment.

What can I go on to do?
If you are aged 16-19 and have not achieved GCSE grade A*-C in English and maths, any programme you choose will require you to continue studying English and maths.
