In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT Testing)
Candidates must have a basic knowledge of electrical theory, especially Ohm’s Law.
This course provides a City and Guilds 2377 qualification upon passing (i) the 1 hour on-line open book exam and (ii) practical assessments during the course.
Candidates will be provided with a copy of the Code of Practice for the In-Service Inspecting as Testing of Electrical Equipment.
It is vitally important that you are familiar with basic electrical theory. It is strongly suggested you reacquaint yourself with these fundamental requirements before coming on the course.
Please complete the enrolment form and bring it with you on the first day of the course. On-Line Examination: - The on-line exam is an open book exam – you are allowed to take into the exam ONLY your copy of the Code of Practice of In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment. You are not allowed to refer to any other material, only the Code of Practice. Please note that this must be a “clean” copy – no hand written notes are allowed in the book.
Practical assessment: Will be taken on the third day of the course. Times to be agreed with your assessor during the course.
Arrive: 08:30 - essential for car parking and registration
