Candidates should be employed within a hydrocarbon processing control room environment.
Prior to OPITO assessment an OPITO element 1.1 ‘Maintain a state of readiness’ document must be completed and signed off for the candidate by a competent person within the workplace.
Candidates will develop the skills and confidence to demonstrate competence against Oil and Gas UK’s ‘Guidelines for the Management of Competence and Training in Emergency Response for Offshore Installations (2010)’.
Senior Control Room Operator training and assessment is also available.
Course duration is three to five days, depending on group size.
Candidates deemed ready will be assessed to the OPITO Control Room Operator Emergency Response standard
