Multi-million-pound investment in facilities
Multi-million investment has transformed our campus and the experience for our students.
Industry-standard specialist facilities are installed across both of our campuses.
Over £8million has been invested in our Lowestoft Campus:
Major investment has been made to the campus over the years to make sure that our students are able to enjoy training in well-equipped facilities. New cladding has been installed to the tower block, the hairdressing and beauty therapy facilities were completely refurbished in recent years and, in the summer of 2015, the art facilities were completely renovated. Major investment has also been made to the engineering and maritime departments to ensure they stay up to date with industry standards.
Food & Drink
The Core at Lowestoft Campus will be open during college hours. The Core offers a range of hot meals, snacks and drinks and freshly made baps and paninis are also made to order during lunch time. A Costa coffee bar is also available where you can buy a broad range of coffees and teas. Vending machines selling drinks and snacks can be found around the campus.
The College’s training restaurant East is also open during term time for lunch and dinner. Click on the On-Site Training Restaurant tab at the side of this page for more details about East.
The College Shop
Our new College Shop stocks all student essentials as well as specialist items, art materials and photographic supplies. The shop offers an order and collect service for specialist items not normally kept in stock. We also offer a range of branded items including hoodies, sports t-shirts, vests, sports bottles, coffee thermos and USBs.
The LRC at Lowestoft Campus
Our Learning Resources Centre (LRC) is a bright, welcoming space for study and learning events. Our friendly and knowledgeable LRC staff will support you in your studies, helping you to find the resources you need, use the computers and plan your course work.
The LRC includes spaces for silent study and group work. Throughout the year the LRC is a hub for events that encourage and celebrate learning and employability. We host careers events, student art shows, the health and wellbeing marketplace, as well as themed information days such as internet safety and mental health awareness.
The LRC not only provides the books and other resources you need for your course, but we also provide laptops and tablets to use in the LRC, cameras for recording your trips and activities and have a great-value shop selling equipment and stationery.
