Uniformed Public Services Level 2
NCFE have developed this qualification to give you a good insight in to the knowledge and practical activities which the uniformed services require including:
You will have the opportunity to access the Careers Gateway which provides knowledge, advice and guidance on all things job related. Drop in sessions can assist you in CV building and job searching, while a Virtual Learning Environment allows work towards maths and English targets.
Access is available to the National Careers Service, guest speakers and advice on apprenticeships throughout the year.
Four subjects at GCSE grade 3 or above (including English) or an appropriate Level 1 qualification
You will be required to create a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of 100% of the assessment criteria associated with each unit. Learning outcomes and assessment criteria specify what you have to achieve.
This is a graded qualification which gives you the opportunity for your work to be awarded a Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction* grade based on the standard of your completed work.
Successful completion of this qualification could lead to employment in a number of job roles in the uniformed services. Should you wish to continue with your studies, progression on to the BTEC Level 3 90 Credit Diploma in Public Services would be your next step, however, you may be able to diversify your studies and move to another vocational area within East Coast College College. Our students have progressed on to courses at a higher level or have found employment.
