This course is for those supporting individuals with learning disabilities, those wishing to do so or those wishing to gain a better understanding of this area.
You will explore what ‘learning disability’ is and how it impacts on individuals and those close to them. The course also looks at advocacy, inclusion, communication and the history of learning disability care. You will also explore positive risk enablement.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive an NCFE/CACHE Level 2 Award in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities.
Voluntary or paid employment in learning difficulties care or further studies at level 3 or in apprenticeships. Also valuable as CPD.
