The first recorded instance of leaded stained glass windows in Britain was in 675AD, “Came” leaded glass techniques have changed little since that time and now you can try this exciting craft in our 5 week course! You will begin by learning to use the “Tiffany” technique to produce a small mirror or light catcher using copper foil and solder to join the glass. Once you have mastered the technique, you will learn how to design and create your own unique stained glass objects and work with lead came to make pieces of your choice!

Fees & costs


You will need to provide some of your own materials for this course, the tutor will advise during the first class. There will be an additional cost for specialist materials for this course of approx. £15-£30, which will be payable during the course.


The course will commence on Thursdays between September and December for 10 weeks TBC.


This course could lead to other short courses or a full time course at East Coast College.
