A partnership with the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation has helped to develop their coaching skills. The Foundation delivers training to people with mild to complex learning needs and the students have also been delivering training to students from the college.

Students on the programme have also benefited from regular free access to Waveney Sports Centre thanks to a partnership with Sentinel Leisure Trust. The students have been able to use top-of-the-range facilities and equipment and have also been able to put their knowledge in to practice through work experience placements offering coaching to members.

There are also chances to volunteer at local sporting events and trips to elite sports venues to study the impact of elite sport on performance and potential employment routes in to elite sport.

A number of men’s and ladies’ sports teams have been established and there are opportunities to take part in fixtures locally, regionally and nationally such as the AOC (Association of Colleges) National Football Competition, National Rugby Competition and Suffolk League Basketball.
