Plumbing Level 3 Apprenticeship Route
Great Yarmouth Campus
The course is broken down into units focusing on specific areas which are then assessed. Each unit is carefully programmed and delivered to ensure you receive training appropriate for you.
During the course you will receive practical and theory lessons. In practical lessons you will work through a series of tasks or projects to develop your hands-on skills. All of the tasks that you produce are set by the awarding body to demonstrate and verify your practical skills.
The theory sessions provide you with the underpinning knowledge of the construction industry needed to apply your skills on site.
Areas covered include:
All programmes include visits, guest speakers, training opportunities and work experience as standard.
Our construction department takes part in the annual Building Apprentices’ Competition and Skillbuild regional competitions which test the skills and determination of students and apprentices.
Your entry level will be assessed based on any previous experience you may have, initial aptitude test results and from discussing your goals and aspirations.
Assignments are practical and written and cover the skills and knowledge in the above units – there are various practical tasks to be completed within the practical workbook and each unit will have online, on-demand tests using multiple choice questions (e-assessment) and there will be short answer written papers.
Our students have progressed on to other courses, found employment or become self-employed and started their own business.
