Course: Plumbing and Heating Level 3
Great Yarmouth Campus
FT / PT
These courses mix practical and theory lessons to provide you with the skills and knowledge you will need for a career in plumbing and heating engineering.
You will develop your hands-on skills in our modern plumbing workshops and work through tasks and projects set by the awarding body to demonstrate your practical work. The theory sessions will provide you with the underpinning knowledge of the construction industry needed to apply your skills on site.
The Level 3 course opens the doors to the more technical side of plumbing, covering boilers, advanced heating systems and unvented hot water systems. Modules you will study include complex cold and hot water, central heating, sanitation systems and electrical systems.
Why study with us:
- Plumbers are one of the most in-demand trades, providing you with many work opportunities.
- Once qualified, you will have the potential to earn up to £1,000 a day working in industry.
- You will develop excellent professional skills, equipping you for life in the workplace.
You will need to have completed Plumbing Level 2 to apply for this course.
Assignments are practical and written and cover the skills and knowledge in the above units – there are various practical tasks to be completed within the practical workbook and each unit will have online, on-demand tests using multiple choice questions (e-assessment) and there will be short answer written papers.
You can progress into an apprenticeship or move straight into employment in careers such as a plumber, renewable energy engineer or gas and oil engineer.
Many of our former students have also gone on to start up their own businesses and take on apprentices of their own to continue training plumbers of the future.
