Foundation Skills is designed to provide a more supported route towards vocational learning, independent living or supported work. This course is suitable for young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, or those who had support at school. This course also includes an English and maths focus.
During this course you will complete units such as being part of a group and understanding relationships, rights and responsibilities, contributing to the community using social and leisure facilities, handling money and taking exercise.
There are no specific entry requirements, you just need an enthusiastic and mature approach to education and learning. You will also need excellent attendance and timekeeping throughout the course.
Within your programme of study you will develop a range of techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for performance in further study or your working life.
