Offshore Wind Transition Course

Phase 1 – Introduction to the offshore wind sector with opportunity to build relevant skills via courses, qualifications and experiences.
Initial assessment and selection to be able to move to phase 2.
Phase 2 – Medical, physical, drug and alcohol test – A pass is required in order to move onto phase 3.
Phase 3 – GWO Certificates – Working at Height, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness and Sea Survival.
In order to be considered for the fully funded 4-week course, you must meet the following criteria:
- Aged 19 years or over
- Minimum of Level 2 English and Maths
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 Engineering/Electrical/Technical qualification or equivalent
- Medically fit for working at heights, physical training ie. manual handling, firefighting etc. (An OGUK medical and Chester Step (fitness test) will be carried out including drug and alcohol screening prior to course commencement)
