The Level 1 Numeracy course is part of Gateway Qualifications’ Suite of Progression Qualifications. These qualifications are designed to support you in developing essential skills for further education and employment. The course focuses on building numeracy competencies through practical and contextualised learning experiences.

The qualifications consist of a range of core units:

  • Numbers, Decimals, Fractions and Percentages
  • Using and Communicating Data

You will engage with mathematical concepts that are applicable to everyday life and vocational contexts. The structure allows for tailored learning pathways that meet your individual needs and aspirations.

Requirements

Assessment

Assessment is portfolio-based and internally verified. You must demonstrate achievement of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit. Evidence may include:

Progression

Qualifications provide vocational taster which aids future career decisions & progression opportunities to employment or further study. You may progress to Level 2 qualifications or sector-specific training programs.
