This is a nationally recognised qualification which will prepare you for a role in social prescribing and provides those already working in this area with a deeper level of knowledge and understanding.
This qualification covers the following four mandatory units:
- Delivering community based solutions through social prescribing
- Measuring outcomes and improving support mechanisms
- Structures and cultures within communities
- The principles and theory of social prescribing
You will also have the opportunity to pick additional units.
The cost of the course is £453. If you are aged between 19-23 and haven’t already completed a Level 3, this course will be free. This course may be funded, subject to your personal circumstances. Requirements
You need to have achieved GCSE grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.
Assessment
Assessment will be via a portfolio and practical based work.
Progression
You can progress on to degree level study with the University of Suffolk at East Coast College or other universities. Courses may include Social Welfare, Advice and Guidance and Counselling.
