Course: Introduction to Digital Photography (Evening course)

If you want to improve your digital photography techniques then this is the course for you. We will show you how you can use your digital camera to its full potential exploring some of the techniques behind digital photography and common features found on modern-day digital cameras. Also learn how to enhance your photos through the use of photographic software programmes. You will learn how to use your camera correctly, looking at aperture, shutter speed, compositional techniques and studio lighting. You will learn how to be selective with depth of field, shutter speeds, composition, studio lighting techniques, downloading and re-sizing images, printing and manipulation of digital images through the use of a PC in addition to presentation techniques. No previous experience is necessary.
The course has been designed to show you how to achieve the best images with the digital camera you have. You will be working on short individual projects which interest you, while working within a creative, supportive and friendly atmosphere.
Fees & costs
This course will take place on Tuesdays 6pm – 8pm.
You will need to bring along your own digital camera, preferably one that has manual settings and a memory card.
This course could lead to other short courses or a full time course at East Coast College.
