This Health and Social care qualification provides you with a broad introduction to the health and care sector. It equips you with essential knowledge and practical skills required to support progression into employment, apprenticeships, or further study.

- Communication in Health and Social Care
- Introduction to Dementia Awareness
- Equality and Inclusion in Health and Social Care
- Introduction to Autistic Spectrum Condition
- Introduction to Learning Disability
- Person-Centred Support in Health and Social Care
If you fall under the below categories, you are able to be fully funded for the course:
- Low income – Earning under £25,750 annually before tax. (£2,083.30 monthly / £495.19 weekly)
- UC – On universal credit and taking home £952 (single) or £1534 (joint)
- Unemployed and seeking employment.
- Receiving ESA/JSA
Requirements
There are no specific learning requirements. You will require appropriate level of literacy and willingness to complete the assessment criteria.
Assessment
This is a knowledge-only qualification assessed through a workbook, some time is available in class to work towards completing your workbook. However, you may need to complete this in your own time.
Progression
This qualification leads on to the Level 1 Certificate in Health and Social Care.
