A highly topical and diverse course, no matter what your aspirations are. Geography describes and explains the past, present and future and impacts on human behaviour, affecting all aspects of our everyday lives. It is therefore an extremely exciting subject and one that combines approaches from both social and physical sciences.
You will need to meet the standard college entry criteria for A Level courses. Additional subject entry criteria ‐ grade B in GCSE Geography and a grade C (4 or 5) in GCSE Maths.
A subject related degree such as geography, geology, environmental science, oceanography, meteorology, civil engineering. Because Geography gives a wide range of analytical skills it is also highly valued in career areas such as chartered surveying and estate agency, tourism and recreation management, officer entry into the armed services, local government as well as businesses in the insurance and energy sectors.
