This course offers an introduction to digital textiles and printmaking techniques, working with tools and developing new craft and creative skills. This practical based course will teach you relief and intaglio processes; such as Lino, Collagraph, Screenprint, Dry Point and Mono-print and Tie Dye, Batik, Heat Transfer Printing and Fabric Manipulation all alongside digital techniques. You will learn how to use print presses to improve your own artwork. There is no previous experience required. There will be opportunities for you to bring in your own materials to print onto, which will be advised during the first session.

 

Fees & costs

£100

You will need to provide some of your own materials for this course, the tutor will advise during the first class. There will be an expected additional cost for specialist materials of approx. £25, which will be payable during the course.

 

The course will commence on Tuesdays between September and December for 10 weeks TBC.

This course could lead to other short courses or a full time course at East Coast College.
