Unlock your creativity and develop your unique writer’s voice with our Level 2 Creative Writing course. Whether you’re interested in fiction, poetry, life writing, or developing stronger writing skills for personal or professional use, this course offers a supportive environment to explore a wide range of creative techniques.
Throughout the course, students will:
- Experiment with a variety of writing forms, including short stories, poetry, scripts, memoir, and reflective writing.
- Learn key elements of craft, such as character development, setting, structure, narrative voice, dialogue and imagery.
- Build confidence in their writing process, from generating ideas to forming polished drafts.
- Develop critical reading and editing skills, enabling them to analyse texts and refine their own work effectively.
- Receive constructive feedback from peers and tutors to help strengthen their style and technique.
- Create a portfolio of original writing that demonstrates both creativity and technical skill.
This course is ideal for learners who enjoy writing, want to improve their communication skills, or are considering progressing to higher levels of study in English or Creative Writing. No prior qualifications are required—just enthusiasm, imagination, and a willingness to try new things.

*Free if under £25,000 a year or in receipt of UC/pension (3 x pay slips or evidence of 3 months of UC is required). If you are not eligible, the course fee is £522.
Requirements
At least Level 1 in English would be beneficial.
A basic understanding of computer software e.g Microsoft Word, OneDrive
