This course is designed for those aged 19 or over who are working in the sector, who would like to return to education and have a genuine interest in working in the health or childcare sector.

On completion of this course, you will achieve a Level 2 Certificate in a range of units including:

  • Safeguarding the welfare of young people and children
  • Introductory awareness of sensory loss
  • Importance of play for early learning
  • Parenting and Healthy Lifestyles
  • Plus others

The course will prepare you to progress to higher level courses in relevant subject areas.

The course will start in September 2025 and run for 36 weeks. The course will be online on a Tuesday OR Thursday evening.

Assessment

You will be assessed through online course work.

Progression

You can progress onto higher level courses such as a Level 3 Access programme.
