"Woodlands has a strong and professional working relationship with East Coast College. The students we have on placement with us are very pleasant, helpful and eager to learn and we encourage them at our setting. The students are well supported by the college and the team are always on hand to provide advice. We feel this is a mutually beneficial arrangement as we always welcome an extra pair of hands and the students gain valuable experience and learning opportunities to support their college course."

Woodlands Primary Academy

Our professional courses give you the opportunity to learn from inspirational tutors in college and industry experts in the childcare sector. We will support you to meet the knowledge and skills needed to excel in this highly competitive sector, and beyond into employment and higher education.

This course will equip you with a licence to practise and our workplace assessors will support you to master the skills you will need to support children’s development and make a difference to their long-term outcomes, as this is the most crucial period for children’s brain development.

In previous years, students have also benefited from a two-week trip to Italy as part of the Turing Scheme, where they experienced international approaches to childcare, explored different ateliers and learnt about the Reggio Emilia approach.
