Covering key advanced topics such as software research and development, mobile computing, security principles and web scripting, the course equips students for a career in the computing industry.  The course includes a project module that provides the student with an opportunity to specialise in an aspect of computing that is of particular interest to the individual.

The course is delivered within fully equipped computing labs that provide access to industry-standard computer hardware and software.  The course helps students develop vocationally related technical skills and abilities, along with the academic insight and understanding.  The course is designed to reflect contemporary computing practice.

Assessment is through a variety of methods including examinations, assignments, group projects and presentations. Assessment will normally focus on practical as well as academic abilities. Almost every organisation requires Computing forms and when you graduate from our course you will have the up to date skills to enter the IT professions and a wide range of industries. You could work in telecommunications, aerospace, security, financial services, marketing, public service, the creative industries and teaching.
