This adult evening course is designed for adults looking to upskill, retrain, or expand their expertise within the beauty therapy sector. This qualification builds on knowledge and prepares you for professional employment, further study, or specialist career pathways.
You will develop a high level of competence in body massage techniques and gain hands-on experience with a range of facial electrotherapy treatments, including microcurrent, galvanic, high frequency, vacuum suction, and faradic. These skills will support you in the development of advanced treatment planning and give you a deeper understanding of skin analysis and physiology.
You will study a range of modules including:
- Swedish body massage techniques
- Facial electrotherapy
- Indian head massage
- Health and safety practice in the salon
- Promote and sell products and services in the salon
- Client care and communication in beauty related industries
This course is perfect for those balancing studies with work or family life, our flexible evening format makes professional development achievable.
This course will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5pm to 9.30pm.
Requirements
You will need to have achieved Level 2 Beauty Therapy or equivalent, along with Maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent.
Assessment
You will be required to complete practical assessments, including delivering full massage treatments under the observation of an assessor. You will also produce written work to demonstrate your theoretical understanding, and sit multiple‑choice theory tests to assess your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and massage therapy.
Progression
You can progress into employment as a Beauty Therapist or further your study with a Level 4 qualification in Laser/IPL, Chemical Peel or Micro-Needling.
