You will need to be working as a lead practitioner in adult care with adults in health and social care settings, as you will need to show competence in both knowledge and skills. You will need to be at least 19 years old to apply for this course.

This qualification will support you to develop specialist knowledge and skills in their area of responsibility and enable learners to promote a values-based culture within their setting.

This course can be funded through an Advanced Learner Loan – £2,882.00.

 

Requirements

You will need to be working as a lead practitioner in adult care with adults, in a health and social care setting. You will also need to possess a reasonable level of literacy and numeracy skills.

Assessment

This qualification will be assessed using a range of methods. This could include direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task.

Progression

This qualification will enable you to progress into employment in settings such as residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres, an individual’s own home or some clinical healthcare settings.
