The AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is an intermediate-level qualification designed to build on existing knowledge and provide a strong foundation for a career in finance and accountancy. Ideal for those who have completed AAT Level 2 Bookkeeping or have relevant experience, this course develops practical, industry-ready skills and a deeper understanding of accounting principles. It is widely recognised by employers and supports progression into more advanced study or employment.
What You Will Study
During the course, students will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills across key accounting areas, including:
  • Financial Accounting – preparing accounts for sole traders and partnerships
  • Management Accounting – costing, budgeting, and performance analysis
  • Tax Processes for Businesses – understanding VAT and payroll procedures
  • Business Awareness – exploring the wider business environment and ethical considerations
The programme focuses on real-world applications, helping students build confidence in using accounting software and interpreting financial information.

The course fee is £2,400. However, many learners may be eligible for full funding through the government’s Free Courses for Jobs scheme if they do not already hold a Level 3 qualification. Eligibility criteria apply, and our team can provide guidance to help you access available funding.
