The AAT Level 3 in Bookkeeping will give you the relevant knowledge and skills necessary to work in a bookkeeping role or to progress to higher level accountancy roles or study. This course will enable you to become competent in financial processes including accounting principles and concepts, advanced bookkeeping and preparing financial statements. You will also be introduced to business issues regarding payroll and value added tax (VAT), including an understanding of documents and reports produced on payroll software, timescales for submissions and payments.

This could lead to further degree level study in subjects including Leadership and Management, Finance or Business. It can also lead to a career as a professional bookkeeper, accounts manager or senior bookkeeper.

The cost of the course is £1,260. If you are aged between 19-23 and haven’t already completed a Level 3, this course will be free. This course may be funded, subject to your personal circumstances. Requirements

You will need a good standard of English and Maths, equivalent to a Level 2 in Functional Skills or grade 4/C or above in GCSE.

Assessment for this course is done via a computer based exam.
