BS7671 is the definitive standard for the electrical industry in respect of the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. It sets the requirements and operating criteria for the UK and ensures it corresponds to EC standards for wiring regulations. The Regulations apply to the design, erection and verification of electrical installations but also includes additions and alterations to existing installations.

The IET released BS7671:2018 – 18th Edition Wiring Regulations in July 2018 and all installations designed after 31st December 2018 will be required to comply with BS 7671:2018.

Qualification Title: City and Guilds Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671: 2018 (2382-18)

This 3 day electrical training course will enable you to gain familiarity with the layout, content and application of BS 7671:2018 – 18th Edition Regulations. This Certificate ensures you are up-to-date with the latest industry regulations on wiring and the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. This course is entirely theory based and is completed by way of an online multiple choice open book exam.

Requirements

This qualification is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals eg surveyors, consultants and other trades needing understanding of IEE Wiring Regulations. Ideally candidates should be qualified electricians or electrical engineers.

Assessment

To be confirmed but likely to be open-book online exam.
