Apollo Roadshow to visit Norfolk and Suffolk

10/09/2024

East Coast College will be showcasing its Apollo Project during a week-long roadshow across Norfolk and Suffolk.

The project is a health and social care recruitment and retention programme which offers training to those wanting a career in the sector or for those who are working in the sector who would like further training to enable progression or learn new skills.

Not only does the programme offer training but it can also help with recruitment, supporting businesses who are struggling to recruit positions within their company.

The roadshow will visit five different locations across Norfolk and Suffolk from September 23rd to 27th, in association with First Bus, inviting members of the public to speak to the team about joining the programme, looking for employment or finding training to be able to move forward with their careers. Advice will also be on hand from college partners including DWP Job Centre, Norfolk County Council Care Careers, NHS Hospitals and many others during the week.

Rachel Bunn, Director for Commercial, Projects and Community at East Coast College, said: “This is a real opportunity for anyone wanting to join the health and social care sector, find out what opportunities are available, start a career or even change their careers by joining the sector. There really are lots of prospects to discover, by talking to our teams and experts the Apollo project really will help launch your career.”

The Apollo Project bus will be visiting the following locations:

Monday 23rd September – The Cornhill, Ipswich
Tuesday 24th September – The Arc, Bury St Edmunds
Wednesday 25th September – Market Place, Kings Lynn
Thursday 26th September – The Forum, Norwich
Friday 27th September – Market Place, Great Yarmouth
